Estrogen Discharge: A vaginal discharge in newborn girls can be norml. High Estrogen levels present in the mother, postpartum, cross in the breast milk and stimulate the infant. As time passes, the high maternal Estrogen levels will decrease thereby removing that effect. Infections can cause discharge as well so if that is a concern it is advised to have your daughter seen by her Pediatrician.
