What can i give my 5 month old son to clear phlegm/cough/sinuses and teary eyes sometimes red and discharge in the mornings?

Fluids/time: There are no over the counter or prescription meds that effectively eliminate such symptoms in infants. Studies in the US have found them of little worth under age 6 yr if then. Removing airborne irritants like dust/fumes/smoke helps in the long run. Nasal wash out with saline is a mainstay when congested.
