Yes: Without any further history including your son's age I suggest immediately taking him to a hospital to be on the safe side. The dehydration from severe diarrhea can be life threatening, particularly for a young child. Also, whether this condition is from food poisoning, an infectious agent or some other cause it may require immediate treatment along with re-hydration. Best of luck!
