I was in a monogamous relationship and at six months and one year i was tested for hiv and it came back negative. could these tests be inaccurate?

Any test: can have a false negative, but unlikely. What "test" was performed and do you have any genital lesions, or unexplained skin lesions anywhere? If so a biopsy of the lesion should reveal a more definitive answer.

HIV testing : Very rare -with some reports of late seroconversion in previous resistant sex workers in Kenya. With a negative 6 months and 1 year i would not worry about HIV.
