Ppi's: Many medications can cause hair loss,usually not permanently,, but I'm not aware of ppi's causing it. Your pharmacist may have more knowledge about your question and can answer your questions about any of your medications.

Not likely: Hair loss associated omeprazole is highly uncommon - there has been only one credible report in the literature. So while unlikely to happen, the possibility cannot be excluded. There are no documentation of hair loss occurring with other types of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs, e.g., esomeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole).
