No guarantee: In the case of atrial fibrillation most recurrences occur within 6-12 months after ablation, but recurrences after a year occur at a lower percentage but can still occur. One study for results of avnrt showed that 96 % of patients were ok after 1 year and 94% of patients were arrhythmia free after 5 years which is a very good long-term efficacy.
