Breast tenderness: The part of a female cycle which is after ovulation contains progesterone, which can make your breasts feel tender, especially if two eggs were produced simultaneously at ovulation, causing double the amounts of both estrogen and progesterone. Oral contraceptives may be a good alternative, since oral bcp's stop ovarian function, if there are no contraindications.
