Pre-menopausal ??: At 29, even with slightly elevated FSH levels, it is unusual to have ovarian failure. Missed periods can be caused by failure of the pituitary to produce high, brief spikes of LH, which controls ovulatory responses. Polycystic ovarian syndrome may cause delayed periods or long gaps between bleeding episodes. Depo will not "cure" this, but ask for a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
