Yes: A "TOTAL IODINE" is a common study often done in cases of suspected Iodine deficient thyroid problems..early deficiency does not effect thryoid function. Iodine deficiency is quite RARE since use of Iodine supplements in Table Salt! Hope this is helpful' BE WELL! Dr z
