Ovulation ?: Ovulation can certainly produce cramping at about "day 14" if your periods are regularly 28 days apart, but "pink and brown spotting" with ovulation generally is associated at your age ("21") with the larger production of estrogen produced when two eggs are maturing, when the estrogen falls just prior to ovulation, which can cause withdrawal bleeding as described.
