FOR 80% IT IS OK: 80% of people treated for hypothyroidism respond fairly well to synthroid, (thyroxine) or other synthetic T4 coumpounds. That said, i rarely use it for my patients, since in my experience, most patients have a better response to t3/t4 meds like armour thyroid.
