A doctor has provided 1 answer

Various options: There are various options to lighten periods to keep from developing anemia. Birth control pills, contraceptive implants, progesterone based IUDs are some of those options. An Iron supplement would also be helpful since the anemia from blood loss is usually associated with an iron deficiency. A discussion with the doctor would be best to explore the options.
