Otitis Externa: If your ear is feeling clogged and you have decreased hearing you may have an infection of the external auditory canal. See a doctor so he or she can use a scope to look down the canal and look for swelling, redness, drainage called otorrhea, and evaluate your hearing and tympanic membrane to rule out an inner ear infection. If you popping/clicking may also have tube problem. Stay calm, carry on

You don't: Swimmers ear is a lay term for inflammation/drainage/pain in the ear canal. It is triggered when water remains too long in the canal, swells the skin & cracks it,tissue fluid leakage, followed by germ invasion & puss formation. You dry it out with prescription drops or may need to have it sucked out.
