Vaginal dryness: One of the major problems in peri menopause/menopause is vaginal dryness which can cause the sound of the labia separating when movements occur even if you are not sexually active. Your GYN MD can perform a Maturation Index of the vaginal epithelial cells which can determine how low the estrogen effect is on the cells and provide a local estrogen Rx cream if needed. 46 yr old with regular menses ,not menopausal who had a baby natural at 43 and pcos all my life which caused heavy menses since teen, is a endometrial biopsy necessary ? If I have vaginal ultrasounds yearly and normal then why doc still wants biopsy?
