Long period ?: Extended bleeding may occur for several reasons, including pregnancies outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test, and see your gyn provider for an exam and testing immediately if positive. This may also be a miscarriage, so even if the test is negative, and the bleeding continues, see your gyn provider.
