A member asked:

Is it common for infants to have genital hpv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It happens: The wart strains of HPV can pass to the infant delivered vaginally, hide for a while & eventually show on their genitals or vocal cords in the first 2 yrs. Non-wart strains are not known to transfer at this point in time. Infants/toddlers who have warts show up after age 2 are considered likely victims of sexual abuse.
