Brown discharge: Blood changes color from red to brown as the hemoglobin is oxygenated over time. If this is your "natural" period, the blood may have been blocked by a clot in the cervical canal, which allows enough time to turn the blood brown. If you have symptoms of pregnancy, obtain a serum HCG test in another week to be certain about possible pregnancy.
