Common: Missing a period now and the on the low dose pills we use today is common. Estrogen is the hormone that stimulates growth of the uterine lining and the low dose results in only a little growth. This is why pills make periods so much lighter and occasionally there is simply not enough to produce a period. Keep taking your pills and you'll probably have one again next month. Hope this helps.
