Progesterone: Progesterone will stop your period temporarily. After you stop taking Progesterone most people will have a withdrawal bleed. It sounds like that is what happened to you. It is not clear to me why you were prescribed this medication after your period. I would contact the prescribing Obgyn and clarify the goals of treatment and verify the instructions for use.
