Is it possible for magnesium to cause all over muscle fasiculations before serum magnesium is low?

We don't know: But many people have low absolute (RBC) magnesium, even if serum level is normal. We are mostly deficient. You should probably try to take about 400 mg Mg daily just as a trial of effect on your fasciculations. It won't hurt you---worst it can do is diarrhea.
