A member asked:

My last blood test ended up hemolyzed and my creatinine and magnesium was low compared to usual. can it be because of the hemolyzed sample?

Probably not, but:: If the specimen was only mildly hemolyzed it would not affect serum creatinine. Magnesium can be elevated in a hemolyzed specimen. The best thing to do is to repeat the test and hopefully the blood specimen won't hemolyze and you will get accurate results. Then if the results are abnormal your doc can discuss this with you.
