Unlikely, but...: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period or after having a "weird" period.

Nothing wrong: If you start spotting at the time of your menses, you are not late, you are simply not bleeding as heavily. Now, if you are sexually active and do not use contraception, bleeding or not, you could be pregnant.. If you think you might be, its just as easy to get a pregnancy test and take all the guess work away.
