See below: There are a number of causes of “lumps” in the scrotum and all scrotal masses need to be examined by a doctor, even if not associated with pain or other symptoms. If the “lump” is arising from testicle, the most important cause to rule out is Testicular Cancer. If separate from the testicle, an epididymal cyst or spermatocele is the most common. Other common causes: epididymitis and varicocele.
