A member asked:

After taking 20 4-mg methylprednisone pills for 5 days on the schedule 6, 5, 4, 3, & 2 per day, can i omit the last pill to help my today's 4.9 inr?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High INR: I don't think omitting the last methylprednisilone tablet will be a problem. The high INR warrants close supervision by your physician or anticoagulation clinic with instructions on how long to omit your warfarin and when to get the next INR test. Corticosteroids can potentiate the anticoagulation effect of warfarin.
