Needs eval/no: If it is scalp ringworm (fungus) it finds its way deep into the roots of the hair. This prevents any of the over the counter anti-fungals from eradicating it. Often it takes a prescription med taken for a month or more for a cure. None of the common STDs present with a scalp lesion although syphilis is known for its ability to show up in odd sites/presentations.
