A member asked:

Is there a liquid prescription form of potassium chloride for patients with gastroparesis? ive heard the tablets shouldnt be used with gp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Potassium chloride: Hi, Yes there is a liquid/syrup form that is available by prescription. There shouldn't be any major issues with tablets other than they are somewhat large in size, which some patients report that they have trouble swallowing due to the size. Absorption may be a little better with the liquid but it shouldn't make a big difference with the actual clinical response. Hope this helps
