Yaz: There are side effects associated with the use of Yaz as any other medication, so indications/contraindications should be studied well before its use. As for the birth defects, it is mainly used for contraception, so shouldn't be used during pregnancy, in case of accidental use during early pregnancy, there were no reports so far indicating birth defects, best wishes
