A member asked:

Can you be pregnant with <0.5 progesterone 41.7 fsh <2 hcg and a negative tv ultrasound at 8 weeks? sore breast/nausea 2 months no period. help!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: An HCG of less than 2 means not pregnant. An FSH of 41.7 indicates menopause and the end of the reproductive years. The very low progesterone level also is seen with menopause. You do continue to make estrogen even after menopause, and this imbalance of estrogen with no progesterone to balance it can contribute to sore breasts.
