Short period: A period which is shorter than normal may be related to pregnancy, so obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. On occasion, if the HCG test is positive, the pregnancy may not be in the uterus (ectopic), which needs immediate attention. See your gyn physician for an exam and treatment.
