Scalp folliculitis: Shampoo regularly with a shampoo containing an antifungal ingredient. Follow with a conditioner to replenish some hair oil. Shampooing with soap is an alternative as it is less apt to remove as much hair oil. Like in acne, taking daily tetracycline antibiotics may also prevent recurrent folliculitis. A dermatologist can advise you best about treatment and prevention,however.
