Diarrhea: The drug has following action: nitrofurans inhibit the process of cellular respiration and biosynthesis of nucleic acids. Depending on blood concentration nitrofurans exert bacteriostatic or bactericidal effect. Generally would take for a few more days. IF worsening stymptoms and or fever, cramps or bloody diarrhea get rechecked.
