Using a finger hr/o2 meter. what can cause the meter to stop detecting pulse? when arm is in certain positions, meter blanks-out, move arm, pulse back

It has to positioned right and fingers be warm to detect the pulse and oxygen saturation, home use monitors aren't meant for continuous monitoring, rather for spot checks
