I gave birth to a son 10 weeks ago and haven't received my period yet and would like to know if that is a problem and also if i can get n prescription for contraceptives so that i can be intimate again without having to worry about getting pregnant ?

Period onset ?: After delivery, and if not nursing, your regular period is generally only 6-8 weeks later. If you did nurse your son, your period will be delayed accordingly. If pregnancy is possible after your delivery, get a serum HCG test to be certain, and consult your gyn physician for oral bcp's if negative and there are no contraindications to "the pill".
