Rib cage pain: I'm unsure as to what CVAT means. The discomfort you feel may be an irritated/inflamed intercostal nerve that runs between 2 ribs. Shingles can present like this serveral days before the rash erupts. If pain persists or rash appears, see your physician for diagnosis and treatment.
