Pregnancy delivery: There are any number of things that would have the OB send someone to the hospital for delivery. If their exam showed that the cervix was dilated to a certain stage and the patient is at the due date, if there is leakage of amniotic fluid or a non-stress test shows that the baby's heart tones are concerning. Any of these would have the OB send the patient in to the hospital for delivery.
