Call the doc!: We don't know why you had the catheter in the first place. However, sometimes infections occur after catheters have been inserted. Call the doctor who ordered the catheterization and tell him/her what's going on. If you have fever, abdominal pain or mid back pain, call right away or go to an ER or Urgent Care.
