A member asked:

Can antibiotics affect the effectiveness of nexplanon implant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: 30 yrs ago it was suggested that certain antibiotics might reduce the intestinal absorption of birth control hormones. This was shown to be a non factor many years ago. An implant is not administered through the digestive system so it is not affected at all.
