Not many: Very few drugs will alter Nexplanon other than drugs metabolized by the liver CYP3A4 enzyme. This includes some of the seizure medications and anti HIV medications. Overall Nexplanon does not interact with many medications, but anyone prescribed a medication should check with their doctor to verify.

Many (see below): The list is longer than we have space. This isn’t all-inclusive, but it includes: seizure meds (like phenytoin, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, phenobarbital), a number of antimicrobials, St. John's wort, and some HIV medications. To ask about specific drugs, ask here or your pharmacist, and make sure your doctor knows about the implant when starting a new drug.
