A member asked:

What can i do to help my newborn purp or break wind after a feeding. i've tried patting or rubbing her back, on my lap?

Upright positioning: Helping a baby belch is simple, and should not be over done. They all swallow air when they feed. Position the kid upright as you comfort them and they should belch within moments if it is going to happen. Some swallow more air than others, some don't belch much. They fart when it happens. You don't need to assist them.
