Not really: The causes of preterm labor are multifactorial. Around 11% of pregnancies are complicated by preterm birth. The risks would likely not be above the baseline if they only risk factor was a maternal history of preterm birth

Premature births: "RUN' in families but it is still unknown what actual risks are. Thankfully prematurity is now dealt with superbly in neonatal intensive care units! Hope this is helpful! DR Z

Yes : Family history has a big role of premature delivery but now days there are makena injection but mostly that is for patients who themselves had premature deliveries in the past
