Products remain?: During a D&C for miscarriage, the surgeon cannot see the inside of the uterus. There is always the possibility of a small amount of the pregnancy tissue to remain in the uterus after the procedure, and this tissue can cause there to be enough HCG produced for the body to not start cycling again. You should check an HCG level and possibly ultrasound to determine if products remain in the uterus.
