A member asked:

Hi, im having my periods at the moment and have been experiencing some dizziness. it is the first time, is this normal? should i go see a doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Dizziness may be caused by many things such as ear infection, anemia, thyroid problems, dehydration, low blood pressure, or anxiety. If your period is very heavy, it could be causing anemia. If you have shortness of breath, chest pain, or pass out or come close to passing out, you should seek medical care immediately. If the dizziness persists, your doctor can evaluate for a cause.
