Yes: A Nissen fundoplication is surgical treatment for Gastroesophageal reflux disease and a solution to the problem of acid reflux backup into the stomach. Although sharp pain in your shoulder & some pain along the incisions can often be anticipated after this procedure I suggest you call your surgeon to discuss this to be on the safe side to determine if a further exam & treatment is necessary.
