A member asked:

Can hyperprolactinemia raise your dheas levels but at the same time actually lower your testosterone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hyperprolactinemia: Hyperprolactinemia can only occur if you are nursing or if there is a pituitary tumor which infringes on the function of the pituitary, such that the inhibition factor for prolactin is prevented. DHEA levels are produced by normal or near normal pituitary function, which does not allow prolactin to be produced. Low testosterone can occur with pituitary tumors: prolactins over 100 and up.
