White tongue: Underlying cause needs to be found and treated . If it is yeast infection antifungal antibiotic needs to be prescribed. If the cause is immune system supression by hiv , it needs to be treated , it could be diabetes, it could be oral lichen planus. So, to find the cause see a doctor or dentist.
