A member asked:

What are the causes of pain in the lower left stomach after ovulation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovulation does: When a woman ovulates the follicle (cyst) that contains the egg breaks open and releases the egg. That cyst also has fluid in it and can therefore irritate the pelvic region (right or left, and sometimes both sides). That pain is exacerbated if the cyst "rupture" causes some mild bleeding. All normal.
