Unlikely: Although giardia species do infect some animals, the strains are specific to their animal & rarely infect humans. The time whatever you have will take will depend on the true cause. With good hydration your body should heal itself over time.

Giardia: It would be very unlikely that your puppy passed on Giardia Lamblia to you because a different type of Giardia is found in humans as is found in dogs.
