There are a : number of "safe" medications but in answering this question a number of times in mt professional lifetime I have found the only CORRECT answer is the best answer....ask your OB-GYN what his/her recommendation is and confirm with him/her ANY NEW medications...RX and OTC and any HERBS, VITAMINS or SUPPLEMENTS you are taking or thinking of taking! THIS IS THE 'WAY" to a HEALTHY BABY ....Good luck.

Vitamin B6 : Vitamin B6 capsules once or twice a day can help relieve nausea. Also try chewing crystallized ginger or ginger capsules 3 times a day. Doxylamine is an over-the-counter sleep aid that can help morning sickness, take it at nighttime first as it will make you drowsy, but it can be taken every 6 hours. There are also prescription meds that your doctor can give you for severe nausea.

Supplements: Otc vitamin b6 50mg twice daily with unisom twice daily may help relieve this. Otherwise there are a variety of medications your doctor can prescribe which can help as well.

Medication and time : Ginger supplements and b6 vitamins help some. Eating frequent small meals helps others. Some need medication like Diclegis, promethazine, Reglan (metoclopramide) or zofran. Most get better by 12-16 weeks.
