What's the difference between a phimosis and simply tight foreskin?

See below: Primarily, just semantics. Phimosis and "tight foreskin" are often used interchangeably. Strictly speaking, phimosis is the inability to be able to retract the foreskin behind the head (glans) of the penis whereas "tight foreskin" implies either the inability to retract or difficulty in retracting the foreskin (retractable with difficulty).

Phimosis: They are essentially the same as another doc mentioned. Please ask your doc if there is need for treatment such as circumcision or similar procedure. You ought to be able to retreat the foreskin fully and wash the glans. Peace and good health.
