Metformin side effec: You are most likely experiencing a side effect of Metformin which very often causes gastrointestinal upset or other symptoms. Over the counter remedies for gas or diarrhea or a probiotic may be helpful until you body adjusts to the medication. Also, decreasing or splitting the dose may help. Please discuss this with your doctor. Please do not adjust any medication on your own.
